Over the past few years, I have traveled all over the US and Europe observing and taking lessons from various music teachers to find an ideal mentor. I took meticulous notes on teaching methods, effectiveness of methods, and use of language. During this time, I also used my personal cello practice sessions as a teaching lab, detailing specific problems and solutions. Through these two perspectives, I began to develop my own teaching method.

After completing my Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance, I went on to study violin, viola, cello and bass and music pedagogy at Manhattanville College. There, I continued my research on effective teaching and learning.

Music has had a tremendous impact on my life. I'm passionate about sharing my experiences and learning from students.

I continue to perform on a regular basis in various chamber music concert series, music festivals, recitals, and for the organization Groupmuse. Additionally, I coach chamber groups, train performers in varied teaching methods, teach privately, and sub for local orchestras.

My students know I also love to cook, eat, travel and go to as many concerts as I can!
